Ganesh and Essential Oils

Author: Ixchel Leigh April 6, 2020

Lord Ganesh is the Remover of Obstacles. I have strong spiritual practices and beliefs and this includes Ganesh. In aromatherapy there are essential oils that can assist you in removing blockages and negativity, which can help to balance your chakras.

Many essential oils have properties that are cleansing and purifying, the following are a few:

  • Lemon (Citrus limon) A citrus oil, is great for clearing toxins from the body and cleansing a home or office of both disgusting odors and unwanted energies.
  • Juniper Berry (Juniperus communis) Detoxifies and can clear negative energy. It helps clear feelings of uncleanliness (particularly from rape).
  • Holy Basil (Ocimum sanctum) Offers to protect you in your home or while travelling, mentally, physically, and psychically.
  • Caraway (Carum carvi) Removes negativity, strengthens memory, and refreshes the conscious mind.
  • Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) Purifies physical and energetic space. Perfect for times of transition.

The information above comes from my book (available on AMAZON.com):

Aromatic Alchemy ~ Recipes for Transformation:

Activate your Soul’s Potential

Originally published in 2001, based on a modality of healing I created in 1990 (through channeled information to me). The totally new Second Edition was published in January 2020. The book describes a healing modality called Vibrational AromaTherapy and includes balancing the chakras and auras using essential oils (along with more of Nature’s Vibrational Medicines: colors, gemstones, numerology, myths, sacred shapes, etc.). There is a list of 108 Essential Oils, with their healing properties and the chakra or aura that is supported by each essence.

Chakra Balancing

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning Wheel of Light. The formal and complete name for the chakra energy centers in the body is: Kala Chakra, which means Wheel of Light and Time. The Tibetans refer to the chakras as Time Machines. They perceive that in time (or through lifetimes) each one of us grows, changes, and transforms. Therefore, to the Tibetans the major energy centers, our chakras, are producing Enlightened Beings.

Chakras are centers of energy in the body. Energy flows through the body and where energy collects, there is a chakra. Those who are sensitive to energy can sometimes see or feel the chakra. Everything consists of this life force energy, and modern physicists have proved this. In the Indian yogic tradition this energy is called Prana.

The seven major chakras of the body:

  • 1st Chakra ~Base of Spine
  • 2nd Chakra ~Sacral
  • 3rd Chakra~Solar Plexus
  • 4th Chakra~Heart
  • 5th Chakra~Throat
  • 6th Chakra~Third Eye
  • 7th Chakra~Crown

If you feel unwell it’s possible that you have a chakra out of balance. You may want to seek the counsel of a doctor or professional healing practitioner. If you determine that a particular chakra is involved, you can also add the healing benefits of essential oils to help encourage your body to return to wholeness and equilibrium.

From the list of essential oils above, choose two or three that best suit you. Blend together a total of twelve drops of essential oils and mix them into a 2 ounce/60ml bottle along with your favorite vegetable oil (sunflower, almond, olive, etc.). Use this mixture to massage your feet, your entire body, or the area on your body where a particular chakra is that you feel needs assistance. Breathe deeply and inhale the wellbeing of life!
